About Us

Usafi green energy limited was first launched in 2019 March in Turkana county to help solve the clean energy solutions crisis.

It's Founder Brian Onyango Oiro previously worked for various companies as consultant on biomass research study in Kakuma refugees camps back in 2018 and 2017.

"I realized more needs to be done not just bussiness and someone needs to take serious action to help this conjested population who lacks this critical products" He Said.

Through support from various organizations to set up a factory in Kakuma town and Thika town, Usafi green energy commenced production of clean fuel "Briquettes" and clean cookstoves our brand "Silver Bora". So far we have sold over 15,000 cookstoves and over 110 tonnes of Briquettes to both domestic and industries in Kenya and refugees camps. Through diversity we have contracted over 120 business vendors who stock and resell our products. Due to this demand we had to add distribution of solar home system as a potential market and we have so far sold over 452 units of solar Product.

We offer consultant services in regards to clean energy solutions namely clean fuel biomass and cookstoves operations. Some of key clients have benefited are FAOKE NGO Kakuma, Nyinam Briquettes Siaya, Firefuelwinds Kilifi, Naivasha Briquettes among others.

Offering clean energy solutions under SDG7 is our prime priority with our ongoing product development on E-cooking activations too.

Our Team

Brian Onyango
CEO/Founder

Brian has nine years experience in the renewable energy sector. He is also a certified consultant in renewable energy mostly on cooking and fuel. He hold a degree in renewable energy and in Human resource management. He has worked in high levels in management as project manager, factory manager, production manager etc. He oversee USAFI GREEN ENERGY operations and ensure smooth company operating procedure are well monitored and help his line managers be effective

Dominic Kiyo
Accounts Assistant

Dominic Kiyo has vast experience in working from Turkana he holds a Diploma in business administration and management. He manages our Turkana branch operations procurement and accounts needs. He has working experience from Sun king ,D light among the solar sector and he ensures our collection and operations are well facilitated to operate. He loves travelling and reading

Vincent Ubeling
Operations/Project Manager

Vincent has a degree in monitoring and evaluation with vast working experience from various large organisations such as SNV, IOM among others. He manages Turkana operations and ensures the company targets are met through supporting the line managers with all management skills deployment. He loves to read and learn new skills.

Rolex Ochieng
Chief Finance Officer

Rolex Ochieng is Usafi energy chief finance officer who manages our company's procurement and accounts receivables. He hold degree from JKUAT on actural science and accounts. Mr Rolex brings key experience in management from various organizations where he has worked before and more importantly manages our accounts inventory

Mary Anyango
Data relationship assistant

Nancy manages our company sales data both two locations. She has been handling our data since 2022 Jan into our digital software where we can monitor sales and credit payments online . She brings in key experience in strategic management and data reconciliation from Sunking ltd . She majorly handles Turkana records and other semia arid regional operations

Christine Otieno
Marketing Manager

Christine has been incharge of Usafi green marketing department since 2020. Through her work we have seen good progress of growth and development of our marketing operations. She holds diploma in computer science and marketing and working experience of five years.
